For those of you who know me, you will know that I often comment on how much talent there is in the local wedding market. I had the pleasure of working someone this wedding season who I can absolutely add to this category of suppliers.
Meet Jo from Constance Rose………
Jo is a florist who has a real passion for creating bouquets and arrangements for her clients that reflect them and the season. Jo has spent the last few years planting her own three cutting gardens at her home, if she hasn’t got a certain flower or foliage she has planted it so she will have in the future! As a result Jo can offer her clients the freshest flowers which are 100% in season. Having seen examples of Jo’s work in the flesh I can also testify that home grown flowers have a scent that is unparalleled by the commercially grown blooms, after all who wouldn’t want their wedding venue scented with the fragrance of freshly cut flowers?
The creativity that Jo has with her arranging has led her to stock her barn with a treasure trove of vessels for her floral displays. Her barn is full of ceramic teapots, milk churns, pots, even a vintage bicycle, all of which may be hired with your flowers to create your perfect look for your event. Jo is always coming up with new ideas and is open to experiment with the briefs her clients give her.
When it comes to weddings Jo has a policy of creating a mini bouquet for her bride to approve to ensure she knows exactly what her final wedding bouquet will look like. Jo is also a staunch believer that grooms should have a special button hole arrangement, different to the rest of the male wedding party. If there are specific flowers a bride requests that Jo is unable to grow in her garden then she will willing source them from elsewhere.
