Just before Christmas I was invited to visit Thurning Hall. Not knowing very much about this licensed venue I really wasn't too sure what to expect. Driving up towards the hall it was clear this was a gem of a venue hidden in the depths of Norfolk, with unspoilt views and bags of period character.
So a little bit of background on this impressive building...... Having been in the family since the middle of the last century Thurning is a beautiful location. It has been licensed for wedding ceremonies for the last twenty years. The Hall itself is a real period jewel surrounded by farmland and a lake along one side of the property's boundary. There are two walled gardens providing ample opportunities for photography as well as sites for your duo ceremony and marquees. The ceremony rooms are full of olde worlde charm and need very little in terms of dressing and decor as they are so pretty and sympathetically styled in keeping with the era of the Hall. Once you have had your ceremony the grounds are yours to celebrate in, canapes on the lawn with the hall as your backdrop or using one of the secluded walled gardens for your main reception - the choice is yours and you can completely go to town with whatever style of day you choose.
If you are looking for something a little different, away from the hustle and bustle then I would certainly recommend considering Thurning Hall. They have an open day next month on 21st and 22nd January - please contact them to make an appointment: firstname.lastname@example.org and for more information www.thurninghall.co.uk and if you pick this venue and need some help creating the wedding of your dream do get in touch for a free, no obligation consultation to find out how we can help you plan a magical, stress free day. email@example.com
